LARGE FUSED GLASS ART COMMISSIONS

'Flamboyance' fused glass art - Fused glass flamingos on stands with tropical background

'Flamboyance'

Patrice wrote asking "Do you have pinks? What do you think about doing a flamingo?"

How could I refuse such a challenge?!

As you see, the mounted panel is complemented by a flamingo head Miniature.

'Cobalt Cathedral' fused glass art - Round fused glass artwork titled 'Cobalt Cathedral', featuring geometric arcs and Hard Edge patterns in shades of blue and green, displayed on a black metal stand with glass test pieces in front

'Cobalt Cathedral'

One of my most popular works is 'Wells', an architectural piece based on the ancient Saxon cathedral in Wells, Somerset.

An existing client, who was gradually buying larger and larger pieces from me, asked if I could reimagine 'Wells' in cooler colours from the original.

We came up with Cobalt - and a completely different perspective view of one of my favourite works!

Fused glass roundel artwork titled 'Chequer', featuring bold Hard Edge geometric patterns in red, blue, yellow, green, and black-and-white chequerboard elements, displayed on a black metal stand

'Chequer' roundel

Out of the blue I received an email:

"I'd like to reimagine your Chequer with more cobalt. My favorite colors are the Caribbean blues, especially the dark ones and peridot green. I have my hair colored a dark grape purple. My car is bright lime green. I love color! I’m an artist."

It's always special to Reimagine one of my best-loved works. It's like watching a family grow. We all have the same surname, but we're all different!

'Chicka Chicka' fused glass awards with bold alphabet designs on stands

'Chicka Chicka Awards'

A Canadian illustrator's latest book had just ascended into the New York Times bestseller list.

To celebrate, he asked for a series of six large Miniatures to present as individually engraved awards to his literary colleagues throughout North America.

I thought this was a wonderful gesture to complement the "usual thank yous" normally seen in a book's fly leaf!

Fused glass bowl titled 'Swirls' with dynamic blue hues and swirling patterns, exemplifying the Hard Edge art style

'Couleurs de St Barth'

A present from a French client to his colleague in Saint Barthélemy, a beautiful little Caribbean island.

I had to work in a rush to be in time for a pre-arranged visit, but we got there! We based it on the original 'Swirls' bowl.

I like to feel my glass colours captured the magic of the sparkling Caribbean.

Rectangular fused glass artwork installed as a landscape window, featuring abstract geometric forms in yellow, red, blue, and white, shown close-up and in situ above a television in a contemporary home

'Landscape Window'

My Brittany client returned for a second piece - a window in his TV lounge.
The inspiration he gave me was absolutely perfect for my style - he showed me two original acrylics hanging on his wall, both by Jinsheng You, a modern Chinese landscape artist.

Working within a similar palette to Jinsheng, I designed a large abstract window, comprising two large panels that fit seamlessly for a full landscape window effect.

"Working with Linda was a dream. She is so professional, a wonderful artist, and seems to be a very good person. My custom art sits proudly in my home where I can enjoy it every day.
I’m so happy to own a piece of her work."

Floral-themed fused glass roundel featuring vibrant red, yellow, and orange petals, mounted on a black metal stand

'Floral'

This was a birthday gift to his wife.

He said: "I found you on Instagram and absolutely love the work you do. I wanted to reach out about commissioning a piece for my wife in a style similar to her favorite art / artist but tailored to her as a Christmas / 40th birthday present."

This was my first ever floral roundel, all curves, no easy straight lines!

'Bristol balloons'

Did you know there's a famous Balloon Fiesta held in Bristol every year that's been going on for almost 50 years?

My client has a powerful memory of this event, seeing all the magnificent hot air balloons soaring effortlessly up into the sky - from back when he was a university student there.

He wanted to bring it back to life on one of his walls, the way he remembered, in all it's colour and glory.

This was my first set of balloons.

Set of four floral-themed fused glass miniatures

'Floral coasters'

A set of 4 Floral coasters, Reimagined from my Floral Roundel.

I created 8, and the client chose her favourites!

"Beautiful artwork; great communication; very good packaging (purchased several items and no damage); and great communication."

"I love how you asked for, and then followed, my input about the piece I wanted and THEN drew up 3 separate designs for me to choose from which went way and above what I expected.

You have been wonderful to, I hate to say “deal” with, because that falls short of how my experience with you went.
I feel that it was more of a collaboration together.
Thank you so much, I love them both!"

Fused glass art dish titled 'Rainbowl', featuring vibrant rainbow stripes in a linear Hard Edge pattern, held over a white table in a bright studio setting

''Rainbowl'

Already a keen collector of my glass art, the client saw my small square rainbow bowls, and immediately commissioned a much larger round one to add to her personal art collection.

"Love, love, love my rainbow glass dish so much. Great quality & attention to detail."

Fused glass artwork collection titled 'Stairs 2', featuring a circular Hard Edge design in vibrant colours including red, green, yellow, and blue, mounted on a black stand and flanked by two coordinating miniatures

'Stairs 2'

The original 'Stairs' was large and expensive, so the client asked if I could do one a bit smaller.

To get there, I completely reimagined all the colours while keeping close to the original design elements.

She said "Oh my gosh, everything is so beautiful!! More beautiful than I imagined!"

Round fused glass artwork titled 'Jungle for Magdalena', featuring a vibrant rainforest scene with tropical foliage, a toucan, cacao pod, hidden figure, and abstract jungle elements in green, blue, and red tones, displayed on a black metal stand

'Jungle for Magdalena'

This work was intended for a family to cherish the memory a young artist member who'd recently passed.

Working with the whole family, her husband, sister and parents, we created a design that works in glass - while still keeping faith with her original artwork.

They said "It is amazing! ... Thank you Linda. It was a pleasure working with you!"

Fused glass bowl with bold Hard Edge geometric patterns in red, blue, and white, styled with a bottle of Montagne Saint-Émilion wine and two cobalt blue glass bottles on a white background

'Swirls' bowl

What the client asked for: "This piece is going into my living room which has a lot of red, but I want something to replace all the items on my small table. I don’t think things have to match. I just want a dramatic touch of blue in the space."

"I worked with Linda on a bowl to get the colors just right. It worked out just right!"

Fused glass roundel artwork with abstract floral design in bold red, yellow, orange, and white tones, displayed on a stand and accompanied by two matching miniature dishes, surrounded by lush green plants

'Floral 2'

My client wanted to gift his wife 'the experience of working with me' on a roundel - as an artistic partnership.

She's a discerning lady with a very clear vision and lots of ideas, so I had to work hard to get everything exactly as she wanted, but it was well worth it, as the final Floral roundel and 2 miniatures make a striking focal point in the room.

Afterwards she said "I must say Billy really hit it out of the park when choosing an item from you as my 50th birthday gift. "

Set of six square fused glass miniatures from the 'Gaze' series, featuring abstract eyes, lips, and bold geometric shapes in vibrant primary colours, displayed on a white round table

'Gaze' Miniatures

The client said: "I would love to have a set of pieces with your full creative liberty. The only thing I ask is that I get some eyes and lips, like in the “set of four” picture. Other than that I fully trust you and your process."

Once he saw the designs he said "Oh my good lord! You are absolutely amazing! I’m so in love already. I can already see them on my wall! IM IN LOOOOOVE!"

SMALL FUSED GLASS ART COMMISSIONS

Square fused glass miniature featuring a bright red, orange, and yellow abstract flower on a blue and purple background, presented in a white gift box

'Flower'

A new follower on Threads asked for this little floral beauty to cheer herself up.

It was my pleasure to help, and even nicer when she said in Trustpilot:

"I’m so happy to own a piece of her work."

Square fused glass panel titled 'Spring Awakens', featuring vibrant geometric patterns in greens, blues, and yellows with layered detailing

'Spring Awakens'

A lady from Italy asked me to Reimagine one of my Portico bowls, but as a flat wall-mounted Miniature in a colour scheme to match her bedroom wall.

As an artist herself, she loved going into every detail of the glass colours, transparencies and shapes she imagined.

Fused glass miniature featuring a white and yellow daisy on a pastel background of blue, green, and lilac, displayed on a clear stand next to a cobalt blue glass bottle

'Kelsey'

Bridgitte wrote "This is for my sister who has been following you forever and watches your videos to de-stress. She loves everything you do, but her favorite color is purple. If you could include one tiny purple piece, that would be great, but there's literally nothing you could do that she wouldn't love, so I trust your vision!"

Fused glass artwork in the shape of a hot air balloon, featuring a vibrant patchwork of rainbow colours including red, yellow, green, blue, and purple on a white background

'Wedding Balloon'

She said "I'd like to send you a picture of the hot air balloon that flew overhead at my wedding in hopes that you can replicate it. Is that something we can arrange?"

The answer was "yes". I brought her treasured memory back to life in 59 separate pieces using 11 different colours of art glass.

Fused glass miniature featuring a red heart above a rainbow of bold colours on a blue background, displayed in a white gift box

'Valentine" Miniature

Valentines bring out my playful side.

This was noticed, when they said "Linda is such a fun artist to work with. Even with her small, affordable pieces, she invites you to create with her. She communicates throughout the process with questions, narrative, and photos. She is very quick and so is shipping."

Fused glass artwork titled 'Bright Eyes', featuring a stylised yellow eye set within layered blue, green, and teal geometric forms, mounted on a black stand with a lush studio background

'Bright Eyes' Large Miniature

When looking at my original 'Gaze' work, Danielle asked "Could we reimagine the eye with a green-blue palette and make the iris amber/honey colored? And if it’s possible to have a name ... could we call the piece “Bright Eyes”?

It was surprisingly easy to make, despite being completely different to the original.

It must have been a labour of love :)

"Well, I am just ecstatic about how they came out!! They are just so beautiful, and I love the stands!

Thank you so much for your hard work on these…I will treasure them forever!! I feel lucky to have some of your beautiful work in my home!!
Have a great day, and thank you again!!"

Fused glass miniature from the 'Abundance' series, featuring a bold yellow and orange sunflower with a black centre on a background of blue, green, and aqua, displayed on a black metal stand in a bright studio filled with plants

'Abundance' tiles

When the client saw my Abundance Roundel and Miniatures, she wanted to puchase something similar straight away.

Well, I'm always ready to please!

"Everything is absolutely fabulous!! I’m so excited about receiving it all. I love your creativity & love of color. I think I might like a bowl as well. Can’t wait for our next project 😊"

Fused glass Miniature with engraved text reading 'Love you to the moon and back', featuring a blue top section with stars and heart, and vertical rainbow-coloured stripes below

'Love you to the moon ...'

Sometimes a message needs engraving on the glass. Fortunately I have a laser engraver. Two fused glass art miniatures were the result, each uniquely engraved with such an affectionate message.

The accompanying miniature said "Love you more!"

Fused glass miniature artwork titled 'Yearning', featuring a stylised blue eye within abstract geometric shapes in red, green, black, orange, and blue, displayed on a clear stand

'Yearning' Miniature

The lady who bought my large Gaze roundel said she'd like an accompanying Miniature of the Eye, which is the focal point of the original piece.

"Linda is great to work with from start to finish I HIGHLY recommend gaining a piece of her art for your collection."

Pair of fused glass alphabet miniatures, featuring bold overlapping letters 'L' and 'S' in red, blue, yellow, and green, mounted on black metal stands

'Alphabet letters'

Initially she said "I have been watching you and your amazing work mainly on Facebook. I just love everything about your work."

Afterwards I got "Holy Cow!! These are all beautiful!!
Thank you for sending these!!

I LOVE THEM!!"

What more needs to be said :)

Wall-mounted fused glass artwork shaped like a hot air balloon, featuring colourful vertical panels in red, yellow, green, and blue tones, created in the Hard Edge style

'Balloons' wall montage

My client, Jean-Michel, requested 12 fused glass art hot air balloons to be displayed across the wall of his bedroom. He said he was inspired by the previous hot air balloon montage I'd made.

Agreeing the sizes, colours and layout took quite a long time, but once envisioned it was perfect.

"I also appreciate your help and talents in making this project a reality. I'll be particularly happy to present this wall to my friends and to promote you at the same time. Who knows, maybe it will inspire others!"

Fused glass miniature with a red heart above a layered rainbow design, held in hand in a bright glass art studio next to a vase of red and yellow tulips

'Valentine' Miniature

Every single one of my Valentines is made unique, never the same as before. Working with way keeps me interested in them, as I never know what will turn up next.

Made with a selection of coloured art glass, both opaque and transparent, so they let the light through in a nice way.

"The artwork arrived yesterday and I love it so much!

I have it right in the middle of our kitchen for us all to appreciate and to spread some love!"

"Linda was incredibly easy to work with at helping me to get the colors that I love in my glass art piece. It is so beautiful and looks exactly like the pictures she sent me. So happy I did this!"
