How to order
OWNING A LINDA HARD EDGE GLASS ARTWORK IS A SPECIAL EXPERIENCE.
EACH PIECE IS CREATED IN RESPONSE TO ONE COLLECTOR AND ONE STORY.
THE COMMISSIONING PROCESS IS PERSONAL, ENJOYABLE, AND EASY TO FOLLOW FROM START TO FINISH.
Step 1. Your Request
Begin by completing the Commission Form.
This tells me you'd like the next available place in my schedule.
A ten percent deposit secures your place for you.
This is your guarantee that you'll own one of my Hard Edge glass art originals.
Step 2. The Conversation
I'll contact you directly so you can share your ideas, inspiration, photos, or even simple sketches.
Some collectors arrive with a clear vision.
Others only with a feeling.
I'll listen closely and gradually shape your story into colour and glass.
Step 3. The Design
I'll prepare an initial art design for your approval.
You’ll see how your ideas and my art fuse into a single artistic vision.
This stage progresses until you’re more than happy with the design.
Only then will your next payment of 40% be requested.
Step 4. The Creation
With your core design approval in place, I begin the precise and intricate work of bringing your original inspiration to life in Hard Edge art glass.
I continue to refine the artwork as I go, finalising the best colours and opacities of glass.
This is how I ensure the overall visual consistency - so the artistic whole is always greater than the sum of its many small parts.
You'll be regularly updated with photos, and sometimes video, as your artwork takes shape through its many various stages.
Some collectors say watching their piece take shape is the most fascinating and exciting part of the whole process.
They say it creates a feeling of belonging and being part of the work.
Step 5. Completion
When the final kiln-fusing stage is complete and the piece is ready, you’ll receive a series of photographs showcasing your new work from every angle, as seen in my studio.
Only when you totally approve the finished piece will the final 50% balance be due.
Step 6. Delivery and Authentication
Your artwork is carefully prepared for international delivery.
Duties and delivery costs will have been confirmed with you in advance.
In the package with your Hard Edge glass art original, you'll also find a personally illustrated hardback book, dedicated to you, authenticating the provenance of its creation.
