Every commission I create begins in exactly the same way.
Someone gets in touch because there's something they'd love to see brought to life in glass.
Sometimes it's a person.
Sometimes it's a place.
Sometimes it's a treasured memory.
Sometimes it's simply the beginning of an idea.
That's all we need to start.

TELL ME ABOUT YOUR IDEA
The commission form below is the easiest place to begin.
Tell me whatever you'd like me to know. Some people write a great deal, while others simply send a few photographs and a sentence or two.
There's no right or wrong way to do it.
I'll read everything personally.
WE'LL TALK IT THROUGH
Once I've had a chance to look through your enquiry, I'll get back to you myself.
We'll discuss your ideas, answer any questions and explore what might be possible.
You can share your ideas, inspiration, photos, or even simple sketches.
Sometimes those first conversations change very little.
Sometimes they uncover ideas neither of us had thought about at the beginning.
That's one of the things I enjoy most about commissions.

Follow a commission from Vision to Glass
RESERVING YOUR PLACE
If we both feel we're ready to move forward, a 10% deposit reserves your place in my commission diary.
From there, I'll begin developing ideas for your artwork.
There's no production line here.
Each commission develops at its own pace.
DEVELOPING THE DESIGN
This is where your commission gradually takes shape.
I'll develop ideas, refine them and share the designs with you as they evolve.
We'll keep refining together until it feels right.
Only then will your next payment of 40% be requested.
I then begin making your finished glass artwork.
CREATING YOUR ARTWORK
Once the design is approved, I'll create your glass artwork by hand.
I'll keep you updated as it develops, so you can enjoy seeing the commission come to life through photos in your private online gallery.
Collectors say it's one of the nicest parts of the journey.
COMPLETION
When the final kiln-fusing stage is complete and the piece is ready, I’ll send you a series of photographs showcasing your new work from every angle, as seen in my studio.
I want you to see exactly what I've created before anything leaves here.
Only when you're completely happy with the finished piece will the final 50% balance be due.
DELIVERY AND AUTHENTICATION
Once everything is complete, I'll carefully prepare your artwork for delivery.
Any delivery costs and duties will already have been agreed with you in advance, so there are no surprises at this stage.
Your commission will arrive with its Certificate of Authenticity, confirming that it is an original artwork created by me.
You'll also receive a personally illustrated hardback book dedicated to you.
It records the story of your commission and preserves the provenance of how your artwork came into being.
