Fused Hard Edge art glass roundel with 2 miniatures on steel stands

The toucan is a symbol of playfulness and intelligence.

The toucan's bright colors and association with lush, fruitful environments also make it a symbol of prosperity, wealth, and the bounty of nature. What more could one ask for?!

Did you know toucans are among the noisiest birds in the forest. They make loud barks and bugling calls, and can live for up to 20 years - which is quite a lot for a bird. It must be special!

Can this be explained? No, it's toucan fusing 😂

I grew up with toucans, as my Mum drank Guinness, and collected Guinness Toucan memorabilia, so the whole colourful-beak thing was embedded in me from an early age. Now I have a chance to release these dormant influences as “Toucans”.

I particularly created this piece as a 3 part collection as I loved the idea of my Toucan having friends and family in the thicket around them. We all like having our friends around us!

Abundance: Large round fused glass art collection

Fused Hard Edge art glass roundel with 2 miniatures on steel stands

Abundance is a rich, luxurious Hard Edge glass art floral display that will set any room alight with fire, brilliance and joy.

Physically arranging the layout of the three-piece set offers you a display freedom never seen before in art glass for the luxury home.

For example you can show the whole work as a magnificent centrepiece to light up conversation. Or alternatively you can use it to bring new vibrance to a more subdued area.

IN DETAIL
The whole Abundance glasswork focuses around the central spiralling flower column, making it fizz with energy.

The artistic vision is reinforced by the strong colour balance between the vertical flower spiral and its geometrically curved side parts.

The large roundel is 18¼” round, and ¼” thick

The stand increases the size to a generous 20.5” width and 24” height, ensuring its prominence in any display space.

The 2 miniatures, each 5” square, are on different sized stands, taking the natural look & depth of the whole arrangement to a new level.

Palm House: Large fused glass botanical artwork

A large, intricate glass artwork inspired by celebrated public gardens

Inspired by Sefton Park and the great glasshouses of the World - a celebration in colour, cut and originality.

This is 'Palm House' - the most intricate and ambitious piece of fused glass art I’ve created to date.

Based loosely on the domed elegance of Sefton Park’s Palm House in Liverpool, while also drawing on memories of Kew Gardens, Montpellier, Lisbon, and Tatton Park, this hand-cut design brings together over 320 individually shaped pieces of art glass, kiln-fused into a single sculptural panel.

From bold palms and tropical foliage to architectural curves and glowing detail, every element has been carefully chosen for colour, texture and clarity.

The result? A vibrant, contemporary reimagining of a Victorian glasshouse - bursting with life, rich in pattern, and unmistakably mine!

There’s a wonderful magic to standing in front of this piece. The shape is iconic. The colours shift with the light. And the longer you look, the more there is to find.

If you’ve ever lost yourself in a palm house, you’ll know exactly the feeling.

Stairs: Large round fused glass art roundel

Unique glass roundel in vivid colours in a Hard Edge glass art style

This glass roundel is inspired by the main staircase in Manchester Art Gallery.

It happened during a Gallery visit to see an exhibition, when I was absolutely struck by the central staircase - full of spirals, strong curves and hard angles - everything I love!

I took many photos - holding my phone down the stairwell, hanging over the railings, looking up, looking down ... each one exciting my imagination in some way I intuitively understood and felt for.

The design was developed to work with my signature vivid colours as a piece of contemporary glass art.

Its strong geometric intention inescapably draws the eye in further and further, achieving a sense of depth I’ve never seen in art glass before.

“Those Manchester stairs have a lot to answer for!”

Designed in my unique Hard Edge Glass style, this art glass sculpture is a one-off piece of glass art, filling any space with colour, light and bustle - a conversation piece if ever there was!

Developed Spring 2023, this Stairs glass roundel is made with a mix of coloured art glass spanning the rainbow in greens, blues, reds, yellows, clear and white, using both transparent and opaque glass.

Glass rods (stringers) enhance the lines of the fused glass art, and really catch the light.

Spectrum: Fused glass wall art

Unique contemporary art glass panel in vibrant colours for home decor

This fused glass artwork is a large, striking piece of modern glass wall art.

An abstract design, typical of the Hard Edge glass art style, it’s mounted on the wall using supplied fittings.

Inspired by the glass colour bars in my workshop, it uses some of the many offcuts of glass I have saved and sorted from previous projects, so they're all fairly small pieces.

A unique, contemporary piece, it's made with a wide range of coloured art glass in an intense rainbow palette of blues, teals, greens, reds, yellows, clear and white, using both transparent and opaque glass.

Glass noodles and stringers are used to accentuate certain lines.

It's an individual piece of glass art, filling the space with colour and light.

Shown here from various angles, you can see how well it interacts with light.

The rectangular glass artwork is 9” by 24”, and ¼” thick - or 230mm by 610mm by 6mm

This large size ensures it's really impactful.
