Miniature Commissions

SMALL MASTERWORKS. BIG STORIES.

Do you want a smaller Hard Edge glass artwork that carries the same depth and presence as my large commissions?

A Miniature gives you that.

It’s a personal commission.
It’s created with you, not for you.
It holds your moment. Your memory. Your colour story.

I'll take your ideas and shape them into glass that glows with life.

Every Miniature is a small masterwork with its own identity and its own meaning.

You'll see it. You'll feel it. You'll connect to it each time the light moves across the surface.

And you'll receive the complete Unforgettable Experience.

Your sketches.
Your progress pictures.
Your illustrated hardback book that records the birth of your artwork.
Your certificate of authenticity.
Your story.

Miniature commissions in my Hard Edge glass style start under $1,000 dollars.

What makes a Miniature Commission unique

Gaze art glass Miniature on acrylic stand
A MINIATURE IS NOT A SCALED DOWN ARTWORK

It’s a compact masterwork that'll carry the same intention, skill and creative depth as my larger pieces.

It'll fit in places where you want a personal presence.

A study. A hallway. A reading corner. A home office.

It'll bring a quiet moment of beauty into your daily life.

THE MEANING IS YOURS

You choose the subject.
You choose the colours and flow.

I'll work with you to bring your ideas to life in a clear and beautiful way.

MINIATURES ALSO MAKE POWERFUL GIFTS

Not a generic gift.

A thoughtful one.

A chance to give art that reflects the best part of the person who receives it.

A true Unforgettable Experience.

Miniature commissions include everything my large commissions offer.

You'll take part in the creation of your artwork from the first sketch to the finished piece.

You'll receive:

  • A design conversation with me, Linda
  • Sketches and ideas shaped around your story
  • Studio progress images
  • Your illustrated hardback book
  • A certificate of authenticity
  • Your story told in a way you can share

This is your creative journey.

You'll own the final artwork.

And you'll also own the story behind it.

Sizes

Miniatures come as five, six and seven inches.

These sizes stand beautifully on shelves, alcoves and home office spaces.

They carry strong colour and shape.

Miniatures behave like living light as the day changes.

Miniature Commissions Gallery

Each of the Miniature commissions below began with a simple idea and grew into a personal artwork with its own soul and story.

'Yearning' fused glass art Miniature

'Yearning'

MINIATURE | ONE OFF

The client’s inspiration:
The lady who bought my large Yearning roundel said she'd like an accompanying Miniature of the Eye, which is the focal point of the original piece.

Linda’s vision:
Knowing the large Yearning roundel as I do, it was a pleasure to fashion this small but compelling Miniature, capturing the eye in its solo glory.

I also liked Michelle's vision of the Miniature being like a piece of fabulous jewelry to accompany her large 'Yearning' lady.

The client said:
"Oh it is GORGEOUS Linda!
Thank you so very much, I really to love and appreciate it.
Can't wait to put it next to her."

Toucans: Fused glass art miniature in the Hard Edge glass art style.

'Toucans'

MINIATURES | SET OF TWO

The client's inspiration:
"I have such a big connection with toucans… I’m from Brasil and I’ve been living in the US for over 20 years now. We have a lot of toucans in Rio de Janeiro. Toucans remind me of home, of family, and they bring me so much happiness.

As soon as I saw your work, I fell in love… it was love at first sight and I knew right then that I needed them in my house, so bring Brasil closer to home. ❤️"

Linda's vision:
I'd already created two Miniatures that went with the original large Toucans roundel, so I saw this as an opportunity to dig even deeper into the theme. But as a small work, which is always a delight to do.

The client said:
"I don't think words can express all the beauty on these Toucans ... the feeling of touching them, after seeing all the planning you did and all the hours of pure love you dedicated into making them, makes me feel special ... and my Toucans priceless."

'The boys' fused glass art Miniatures

'The Boys'

MINIATURES | SET OF TWO

The client’s inspiration:
One of my earliest clients wanted her Grandsons as figures pointing upwards to balloons I'd created for her previously.

Linda’s vision:
I made a montage of figures for my original 'Gallery' work and I always wanted to make some more. So it felt like the perfect commission for me.

The client sent me photographs, and told me stories about her grandsons which inspired me even more.

I love all the detail that clients pass onto me as it means I can create something even more personal and meaningful.

The client said:
"Oh wow they look so good! Really looking forward to getting them on my wall.

Love the little book and its story"

L & S Alphabet Miniatures in the Hard Edge glass art style

'Alphabet letters'

MINIATURES | SET OF TWO

The client’s inspiration:
Linda, my client, not me, wanted her initials as large Alphabet Miniatures. She said "I have been watching you and your amazing work mainly on Facebook. I just love everything about your work."

How could I resist this project?!

Linda’s vision:
I'd experimented previously with initials as 4" Miniatures so I was delighted to produce two 5" works, as the larger size gives me more creative scope to develop the background and not just the letters..

The client said:
"Well, I am just ecstatic about how they came out!! They are just so beautiful, and I love the stands!

Thank you so much for your hard work on these…I will treasure them forever!! I feel lucky to have some of your beautiful work in my home!!

Have a great day, and thank you again!!"

"Working with Linda was a dream. She is so professional, a wonderful artist, and seems to be a very good person. My custom art sits proudly in my home where I can enjoy it every day.
I’m so happy to own a piece of her work."

Flamingo Miniature in fused glass art

'Flamboyance'

MINIATURE | ONE OFF

The client’s inspiration:
When one of my top clients came back to order a Flamingo Tallboy (see 'Flamboyance' in the commissions gallery) I was obviously delighted, but strangely it left me feeling something was missing?

Linda’s vision:
The title of the work was 'Flamboyance' which is technically a group of flamingoes, such as you see in nature documentaries. So one flamingo Tallboy didn't give me the 'quite perfect' feeling that I normally get from a project.

So unasked, I made her a Miniature as well, moving the whole work closer to a real flamboyance of flamingoes, justifying the title of the work - 'Flamboyance'.

Then it felt 'quite perfect' :)

The client said:
" Oh Linda it's gorgeous!!!"

'Floral'

MINIATURES | SET OF FOUR

The client’s inspiration:
She'd seen my large 'Floral' roundel and decided she wanted a set of them as Miniatures, but designed differently of course.

Linda’s vision:
I happened to love this floral design so I made eight of them and let my client choose her favourite four to make a set.

It felt over-the-top to actually make eight when the client only requested four, but it felt right to me.

And luckily enough the four that remained were snapped up by a new client looking for a birthday gift.

So all's well that ends well!

The client said:
"Tough choice, they all look lovely! I’m leaning towards 3,4,7 and 8 or possibly 2."

Colorful abstract art pieces in the 'Orangerie' theme on stands with flowers and plants in the background

'Orangerie'

MINIATURES | TWO OFF ON STANDS

The client’s inspiration:
This collector chose two Miniatures inspired by the 'Orangerie' theme - and loved being involved at every stage. From selecting the palette to seeing the individual glass pieces come together, she followed the process closely and shared her thoughts along the way.

Linda’s vision:
'Orangerie' has always been one of my favourites. It captures the feeling of all the glasshouses I've visited over the years.

It felt effortless to develop two Miniatures based on this theme that warms my heart!

The client said:
"Hi Linda, I have to say I had no idea that I would participate so much in my project. It is great. Yes, you certainly may share my project on social media."

She also said: "I just opened my package and am over the moon with them. They are just so beautiful. Turned out exactly as I pictured them.
Thank you so much for your time and effort, very much appreciated."

Fused glass artwork in the shape of a hot air balloon, featuring a vibrant patchwork of rainbow colours including red, yellow, green, blue, and purple on a white background

'Wedding Balloon'

MINIATURE | ONE OFF - WALL MOUNTED

The client’s inspiration:
She said "I'd like to send you a picture of the hot air balloon that flew overhead at my wedding in hopes that you can replicate it. Is that something we can arrange?"

Linda’s vision:
It's like balloons keep following me round :)

This is the 10th request I've had to make a Miniature balloon!

So the answer was obviously "yes".

It was a joy to bring her treasured memory back to life in 59 separate pieces using 11 different colours of art glass.

The client said:
"We are very happy with it! It arrived on Valentines day, so it was a fun gift to present to my husband!

We plan to hang it with our wedding photos and when that happens I will send a photo to you!"

Fused glass artwork titled 'Bright Eyes', featuring a stylised yellow eye set within layered blue, green, and teal geometric forms, mounted on a black stand with a lush studio background

'Bright Eyes'

MINIATURE | ONE OFF ON STAND

The client’s inspiration:
When looking at my original 'Gaze' work, Danielle asked "Could we reimagine the eye with a green-blue palette and make the iris amber/honey colored? And if it’s possible to have a name ... could we call the piece “Bright Eyes”?

Linda’s vision:
This project arrived at a time when I was deeply into blues and teals - so I was delighted with the client's inspiration and ideas - wanting green and blue.

Additionally, I'd done a series of small eyes, so to do a larger one on a proper stand was very welcome.

The trickiest part was identifying the honey/amber of the eyes from a selection of yellows. The client helped a lot here as she knew what she wanted!

The client said:
"The piece is absolutely stunning! I am floored, and we cannot wait to have “Bright Eyes” in our home. We are going to put her near a window to get plenty of light.

Thank you for your artistic vision and dedication to making this such a special piece. I can’t wait to work with you again.

This is our year to thrive, so that definitely means more art! "

Square fused glass panel titled 'Spring Awakens', featuring vibrant geometric patterns in greens, blues, and yellows with layered detailing

'Spring Awakens'

MINIATURE | 7" WALL-MOUNTED

The client’s inspiration:
A lady from Italy asked me to Reimagine one of my Portico bowls, but as a flat wall-mounted Miniature in a colour scheme to match her bedroom wall.

Linda’s vision:
As an artist herself, she loved going into every detail of the glass colours, transparencies and the shapes she imagined.

Because she wasn't in a rush for delivery, we could plesantly take our time examining every option of colour possible, interestingly without changing any of the basic design shapes of 'Portico', which she's now renamed 'Spring Awakens'.

The client said:
"It's been an exciting process which I enjoyed being a part of and I love the end result!

Linda cares about the process of making your artwork (large or small) from start to finish.

She regularly keeps in touch and is happy to adapt her ideas based on your feedback.

I ordered a small glass wall panel and she added all my ideas.
It really felt like a collaborative process.

She keeps you updated with a Google photos album so you know what is happening with your artwork every step of the way.

My glass art looks great and it will be an integral part of my home's design. I would definitely order from her again."

"Well, I am just ecstatic about how they came out!! They are just so beautiful, and I love the stands!

Thank you so much for your hard work on these…I will treasure them forever!! I feel lucky to have some of your beautiful work in my home!!
Have a great day, and thank you again!!"

'Abundance' Hard Edge glass art Miniature

'Abundance'

MINIATURES | TWO ON STANDS

The client’s inspiration:
When she saw my Abundance Roundel and Miniatures, she immediately wanted to puchase Miniatures in a similar theme. No difficult decision - just "Yes please".

Linda’s vision:
I was already working on two other projects for this lady, so this made a third project.

It wasn't difficult to do three different compositions at the same time, as she always loves my colour ideas, and is very easy to please. I intuitively understood the palettes she had in mind for her different projects very quickly. It's a good realtionship.

As a keen collector, she's since come back for more artworks as well!

The client said:
"Everything is absolutely fabulous!! I’m so excited about receiving it all. I love your creativity & love of color. I think I might like a bowl as well. Can’t wait for our next project 😊"

Morton Glassworks logo in fused glass

'The Morton logo'

MINIATURE | TALL WALL MOUNTED

The client’s inspiration:
Morton Glassworks have previously had their logo made in glass a number of times. But when she saw my Hard Edge style, she knew she wanted another!

Linda’s vision:
Once she saw my initial designs she immediately wanted it bigger, making this my longest slim work to date.

I was also very flattered to be awarded the project by the company that sets the standard in glass cutting accessories.

The client said:
"I love how you share the care we give process! The colors look fantastic!

Yes, please share away on social media. Feel free to tag Morton Glass Works and My personal page if you like."

Why Collectors love Miniatures

Miniatures let you bring beauty into spaces that feel personal and close.

They do not dominate.
They enrich.
They hold meaning.

They remind you of your own story.

Fused glass art Miniatures - 'The Boys'

Many clients start with a Miniature and later build a small series that grows with their life.

Others choose Miniatures as gifts because they want the person they love to choose the subject and colours.

This way it becomes their moment.
Their experience.
Their artwork.

A Miniature offers a quiet but powerful presence.

An exclusive masterwork that feels like it belongs to you.

Five stars from Trustpilot

"I love how you asked for, and then followed, my input about the piece I wanted and THEN drew up 3 separate designs for me to choose from which went way and above what I expected.

You have been wonderful to, I hate to say “deal” with, because that falls short of how my experience with you went.
I feel that it was more of a collaboration together.
Thank you so much, I love them both!"
