Glass Art Miniatures Explained

The excitement of choosing Miniatures

Miniatures offer you exciting new choices when buying small format Hard Edge glass art.

Choosing is more than simply ordering from a catalogue of pre-made artworks. It’s a very collaborative process, where you talk to me, Linda, and tell me what you’d like.

For example, whether to buy an existing piece, but perhaps as a series of 2, 4 or 6.

Or perhaps Alphabet letters as specific initials, or that spell a word such as LOVE.

Or perhaps a single miniature on a tall stand as a desktop gift for a loved one (or yourself!).

Or even engrave a word or message directly on the glass.

Or perhaps to Reimagine the palette or a design element within the miniature to suit your interior decor or design ideas.

What exactly are Miniatures

Miniatures are small format Hard Edge glass artworks you can display in a number of ways:

1: Proudly on vertical blacksmith-made, steel stands - tall, medium or short

2: Discreetly on small clear acrylic display stands

3: Casually as flat table art with little rubber feet for stability and protection. These are often called coasters.

4: Flamboyantly as wall-mounted displays either singly or as a series

Miniature design themes

Miniatures belong to a series or theme.

For example, Hearts, or Alphabet letters, or Floral, or as Abstracts designed to complement the theme of a much larger artwork such as a Roundel.

Designs can also be Reimagined on request to an alternative colour theme or palette.

Miniatures may be personalised with Engraving such as a loved one’s name, or a wish or blessing or fond memory, or perhaps a small engraved design with personal meaning.

Miniatures can be bought as singles, pairs or sets of 3 or 4 or more

Example themes

Here are examples of different Miniature themes.

A recent customer request

“For the coaster, I was wondering if it is possible to not do an engraving. I like the heart ones you have for Valentine's and I was thinking of something similar to style 11 that you have. A heart in the middle, but maybe with the colors broken down into sixths (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple) around and inside the heart, instead of a rainbow. I am not certain about anything, just an idea; if it's even possible/allowed.”

Collecting Miniatures

Many customers like to collect Miniatures as coveted artworks.

Others buy Miniatures as a stepping stone to purchasing a large format major work such as a large Roundel.

Others like to buy a single Miniature in the style of each major artwork I produce, as a memento or token of the larger, more expensive work.

However you choose to collect, your Miniatures will always lift your spirits and fill you with joy!

Authenticity

No two Miniatures are ever the same. Whether they belong to a theme or share a palette, or are Reimagined in some way, they will never look like any other.

Each Miniature comes signed as an original by me, Linda, with a supporting Certificate of Authenticity.

No one else will ever have the same as you!
