Stairs: Large round fused glass art sculpture

This glass roundel is inspired by the staircase in Manchester Art Gallery, Manchester UK.

While visiting the Gallery to see the art, instead I was struck by the central staircase - full of spirals, strong curves and hard angles - everything I love!

I took many photos - holding my phone down the stairwell, hanging over the railings, looking up, looking down ... each one captured my imagination in some way.

I developed the design to work with my signature vivid colours as a piece of modern glass art. It has a strong geometric design, which draws the viewer in - and down the spiral stairs.

Designed in my unique Hard Edge Glass style, this art glass sculpture is a one-off piece of glass art, filling any space with colour and light - a really outstanding piece of fused glass artwork.

It is supplied with a custom-made wrought iron stand to show it off to its best. The stand also offers good protection and display stability.

Developed Spring 2023, this Stairs glass disc is made with a mix of coloured art glass spanning the rainbow in greens, blues, reds, yellows, clear and white, using both transparent and opaque glass.

Glass rods (stringers) enhance the lines of the fused glass art, and really catch the light.

The round glass artwork is 18¼” round, and ¼” thick - or 470mm by 6mm

The stand increases the size to 20.5” by 24” ensuring it really stands out.

This large size ensures it's really impactful.

The Hard Edge geometric design is unique, creating a stand-out piece of art for your home.

Handmade in the UK in my Glass Studio in West Lancashire, it comes with a Certificate of Authenticity - signed by me, Linda Rossiter, so you can be sure that your piece is original.
