This month I've been working on a series of pieces, titled "Gallery 23"
The final work will be eight standalone creations conceived as a single artwork.
The Face is the main feature of the work, so I need the perfect palette.
So ... I start off producing a digital colour scheme on screen … but real glass is always different, so I use scraps of glass to make sure the colours work, and that I’ve got the right balance of opaque, wispy and transparent.
Once I've decided which glass I want to use, I can start cutting.
This piece definitely uses some of my favourite colours - that aqua-lime pearl opal is so beautiful - do you think so?
