This video shows how I cut the glass for my bowls, mats and coasters.
If the glass is transparent, I can lay it over the pattern on a lightbox, and trace along the lines with the cutter.
If it's opaque, I cut out the pattern pieces in cardboard as a template, and draw round them with a sharpie.
Once I've scored the glass with a Toyo glass cutter, I break the curves with Silberschnitt running pliers. The head of these pliers is adjustable, so I can angle it exactly across the score line, getting the best possible break.
They're expensive but worth it!
