'Cobalt Cathedral'
BACKSTORY
One of my most popular works is 'Wells', an architectural piece based on the ancient Saxon cathedral in Wells, Somerset.
An existing client, who was gradually buying larger and larger pieces from me, asked if I could reimagine 'Wells' in cooler colours from the original.
We settled on cobalt and a completely new twist on the 'Wells' original.
'Flamboyance'
BACKSTORY
A returning customer wrote asking "Do you have pinks? What do you think about doing a flamingo?"
How could I refuse such a challenge?!
As you see, the mounted panel is complemented by a flamingo head Miniature.
My first ever flamingo!
Note: a Flamboyance is a group of flamingoes, although we only see one in this picture!
'Yearning'
BACKSTORY
Gaze is designed to stand out across a large room.
Even at a distance, its intricacy and vision are noticed.
Its unusual power is a great conversation starter.
You might ask "What is she really thinking?"
Note: the original 'Gaze' was renamed as 'Yearning' by the client
